ACTIVITY - A thousand years in another way

A third excellent effort from this Berlin- and Atlanta-based project, led by producer/guitarist Max Rivera and vocalist/synth-player Lyla Chen. An album that confirms the already high quality of their singles: airy atmospheres, ethereal floating melodies, and Chen’s voice that makes everything feel transcendent and at times dreamlike (bringing back a sense of regret for what the post-Adore Pumpkins could have been — a feeling echoed by the cover, which seems like a tribute).
