The Tian brothers reunite with bassist and producer Jah Wobble, attempting to prove that a fusion between Far Eastern sounds and African roots is possible—beyond commercial partnerships (and exploitation).
The work is both compelling and intriguing, with the brothers playfully crafting sonic textures by blending Chinese and Mongolian instruments (morin khuur, erhu, ghijik), dub grooves, and post-punk layers in performances that verge on the ritualistic.
