Evidence returns with 𝘜𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘝𝘰𝘭. 2, creating verses and bars of great precision and technique. In 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘢 𝘉𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴, for example, he announces the reason for his comeback after four years:  “𝘌-𝘝, 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯' 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘴, 𝘐'𝘮 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯' / 𝘐𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬'𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘭, 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯' / 𝘐'𝘮 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯' 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯' / 𝘋𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯' 𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦, 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯' 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘴”. 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘚𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 with The Alchemist takes us back to the days of Dilated Peoples, a boom-bap track enriched with the producer's signature piano riffs. Here the MC shows his talent in a wholly original way: “𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 / 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘨𝘰 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 / 𝘐'𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 / 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 / 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘴 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪 𝘸𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯 / 𝘉𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘧, 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯'”. That “𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭” is a synecdoche highlighting the importance of the physical disc in the digital age. With 𝘋𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦, the MC also strikes more introspective chords, untangling his conscience and turning its intimate and multifaceted nature inside out: “𝘎𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯' 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 / 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴, 𝘐 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 / 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘦 / 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘦 / 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯' 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 / 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧, '𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯'”.
